Cost of Living Benchmarks…
Baron Analytics is pleased to announce the incorporation of government cost of living benchmarks into our standard financial models. The benchmarks derive primarily from the Bureau of Labor Statistic’s Consumer Price Index reports. Complimentary and corroborating data derives from reports from the Bureau of Economic Analysis. Baron Analytics updates their tools and data repositories regularly as this data gets updated by these bureaus.
Value for Divorcing Clients…
What does that mean for clients? We now can tell you exactly what a typical American household with a specific income (such as yours and/or your spouse’s) pays and invests. We break down savings, debt payments and expenses to provide benchmark values for every element of your income and expenses, as needed for your and your spouse’s interrogatories. Our report is in the format of a typical Income and Expense worksheet for easy comparisons. We already invested the extensive effort to complete all the research and modeling. This means that we can provide you benchmark Income and Expense worksheets for you and your spouse with minimal effort – which means minimal cost to you.
You can use this information for various purposes, such as:
- Guide your development of defendable interrogatories
- Support your request or denial for pendente lite cost of living payments during separation
- Help assess affordability and lifestyle implications as settlement alternatives are conceived
- Provide a basis to justify your financial assertions and refute your spouse’s during settlement
This information could help justify your or refute your spouse’s claims to $thousands for settlement that otherwise would not be defendable.
Sometimes, actual expense data is not available during the divorce process. For example, a spouse may control and not disclose data. Or a client may still be too inextricably linked to the financial means of the spouse to produce their own data. Generic benchmarks may not be the only (or even the best) alternative to forecast expenses, but the additional option could improve credibility and value when produced and presented by an expert, like Baron Analytics.
